If that “perfect series of words” existed, then someone would have already found it, and it would have already worked.
Politics is… not about truth. When it comes to truth, we reach consensus. We do not disagree on gravity, we do not disagree on the effects of ibuprofen, we do not fight endlessly over whether or not airplanes exist. And yet, we disagree on politics. And while it may feel like there is just as much truth in your political beliefs, just as much objectivity, that truth has rarely, if ever, helped you convince someone in an argument, no? They have their facts; you have yours. And if they ever get the leg up, well, you just need more time to find something to prove them wrong.
Because politics is about ego, and about community.
And politics is impossible to know. One could spend their lifetime studying the world and never be able to conclusively prove the accuracy of a source or the level of manipulation going on at the highest level. One may find it simplest to assume that the world is as chaotic and, well, human, as it seems, or to divide the world up into good vs evil, or to assume that we are all governed by shadow-elities. You can't prove any one of these, because there is always some ambiguity, much like how we can't truly prove the existence of anything but ourselves.
It is not a coincidence that white nationalists tend to be white, that gay rights activists tend to be gay, that feminists tend to be women. That may sound obvious - of course the white nationalists are going to be white - but it’s actually quite interesting. According to them, and according to the way we tend to fight them, their incorrectness is simply on a logic level - they believe facts that are incorrect, and we can debate them to prove them wrong. But misinformation related to race shouldn’t just convince one of them, would it? “White people are genetically superior”, according to them, is something *everyone* should believe - and there are definitely some people of color who think they are doing the right thing by helping to oppress other people of color. But this line of thinking is much more appealing to white people, because again, politics is about ego.
I'll admit that ego is tied to trying to believe the truth. But, as I've implied, convincing people on truth is very difficult. Convincing people on community, on the other hand, is quite achieveable.
Now, let's get to the fun part.
